Baby Food in a Crock-Pot

I just had a thought…Is it possible to make baby food in the crockpot, and then freeze? Anyone have any recipes and freezing suggestions? I’d love to be able to make my own baby food.

Fruits
Veggies
Meats
Baby cereals

Jaclyn, If you want to slow cook fresh vegetable for baby food, make sure you do not add any seasonings and they cook down enough to puree. You can do just about any vegetable…green beans, squash, peas, carrots, etc. When pureeing, add water to get the correct consistency and texture. I would assume fruit could be done the same way. Hope this gets you on your way.

Seasonings need to be introduced slowly and best to start off with none. It would be best to stick with salt-free options. You need to learn what your baby can tolerate. Sweeteners should never be introduced to baby food…even honey. The fruits are sweet enough.
