I made this last night. Very tasty! 7 I used a 7 Qt crock pot and some of my potatoes and carrots didn’t cook even my roast hadn’t cooked in the 4 hours so I upped it and by around 5-6 hours it had cooked more although some potatoes still didn’t cook through (perhaps 4 potatoes for it was too much?) Still very tasty and I hope to make it again. Thanks for the recipe!

This is an outstanding traditional pot roast recipe. It will be my standard from now on. It also freezes well, minus the potatoes and carrots…though I am sure carrots will freeze well in it (I added them in before cooking because I didn’t have any on hand. Just put the rest of the ingredients in a freezer bag and label with a reminder to add vegetables. I was afraid that it was going to be too salty, but it was perfect. Look forward to my small amount of leftovers at lunch tomorrow! Thanks for another good ‘un!

This is the best roast I have ever had. I have done so many things in the past to add flavor to my roast and nothing has done the trick like this recipe!! This is the only way I will make my roast now!
