I did the same thing, added the sour cream in step one because I didn’t read ahead to step 3…. still very yummy!
Jenni
Opps! I didn’t read step 3 prior to step 1. I added 1 cup of sour cream in step 1. It was delicious!!! I will make this again. Meat was tender and sauce was yummy!

Laura, just add sour cream to your taste. We only add 1 to 2 tablespoons.
Laura
How much sour cream do you use?

I would double the recipe for 8 hungry ones, Emma! Happy Crockin’ to ya!

Is this recipe enough for 8 hungry people?

ok thank you so much

I’m not a big fan of cream of mushroom either, Brandy. So I totally understand! I sub cream of celery a lot when a recipe calls for cream of mushroom. ENJOY!

what could i use instead of the cream of mushroom soup? my husband doesnt like it
LINDSAY B.
I made this and it was really good! I wouldn’t change anything about it. The stew meat was so tender – I will definitely be making this again!!!
Crockin Girls
Not at all, Melissa! Just add the sour cream according to your taste. We just do 1 to 2 tablespoons depending on how “sour creamy” we want it that night :) It’s up to you…

I hope this isn’t a dumb question… How much sour cream do you stir in at the end?
Crockin Girls
Of Coarse! We just use what we have on hand rather than buying “cooking wine.” Happy Crockin’ Diane!

Can you substitute regular red wine for red cooking wine?
