Karen, you will need to cut the time in half if you cook it on high. 3-4 hours

Can this be cooked on high? If so, for how long? Thanks.

C’mon now, girls! No self-respecting Texas puts bean in their chili! If you’re going to break the rules, for heaven’s sake, don’t call it Texas Chili–because it isn’t! Lots of Yankees use your sight (it’s a great site BTW!) and they need to be educated about such matters of importance! You need to create a TRUE Texas Chili recipe!! :-)

I haven’t made this yet, but you CANNOT call this Texas Chili if it has beans. Texas Chili will NEVER EVER have beans………it is a No-NO. With that being said, this is a great website with truly delicious recipes and excellent tips. Thanks Crockin’ Girls!!!

We love this recipe!!! My hubby thinks it’s too sweet so he adds a little habanero and let me tell ya the blend of sweet and spicy balances so well together.

This is good chili, but it is real sweet. I think a cup of brown sugar is too much…maybe a 1/2 cup will make it less sweet next time.
